How to Book Haramain Railway
Go to the official Haramain High Speed Railway website at HHR.com.sa or download the official HHR app.
Choose departure city, destination, travel date, and number of passengers. Select one-way or round trip.
Economy class ($35โ$50) for standard comfortable travel; Business class ($60โ$80) for wider seats and enhanced service. Economy is excellent value for most pilgrims.
Input passport details for each passenger. Details must match your travel documents exactly.
Pay via international credit card. Print or save your e-ticket as a PDF โ you will need it at the station.
Arrive at least 45โ60 minutes before departure. Security checks and boarding procedures take time, especially during peak pilgrimage seasons.
Railway Tips for Pilgrims
- โข Book as soon as you confirm your travel dates โ peak season trains sell out weeks in advance
- โข The Makkah station (Rusaifa) is ~3km from Masjid al-Haram โ take a taxi or ride-hailing service from there
- โข Large luggage is permitted but be mindful during crowded seasons โ consider shipping bags to your hotel
- โข Prayer times on the train: announced over PA system; trains have prayer direction indicators
- โข Women have dedicated seating areas and family sections on all trains
